Note di degustazione
The 2015 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a rather obvious, barrel-influenced bouquet with hints of nutmeg and spice. The palate is well balanced, offering thickly layered oak and a nutty, slightly saline finish that lacks a bit of sophistication. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of lemon zest, spices and oyster shell. Very ripe and very concentrated, with its crystallized lemon peel flavor given added punch by some unabsorbed CO2. I found this a bit rough a year ago, but what I initially felt was a phenolic quality now appears to be strong dry extract. No shortage of energy here.
The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir has a bright, vivid bouquet with limestone and dew-speckled Granny Smith apple scents which is quite intense and conveys a sense of energy. The palate is fresh, crisp and quite saline in the mouth with a hint of dried honey developing toward the finish. The more you are acquainted with this wine, the spicier it feels, delivering a light tang of marmalade on the finish. This is a fine Vaudésir, although watch out for the impressive 2016 hot on its heels.
