Note di degustazione
The 2015 La Rose Perrière has turned out beautifully. Ripe, sumptuous and super-expressive, it exudes balance. Super-ripe blue and purplish stone fruits, lavender, mint, plum and sweet spice notes, along with soft contours and silky tannins, give the 2015 much of its voluptuousness and pure appeal. What a gorgeous wine this is! The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, mostly fermented in 500-liter barrels. La Rose Perrière is really in a class of its own in Lussac Saint-Émilion. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker. Tasted two times.

The 2015 La Rose Perriere is deep garnet-purple in color with quite a cedary nose to begin, giving way to notes of cassis, black plums and dark chocolate with touches of dried herbs and damp soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate features a great frame of ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness to support the generous fruit, finishing long with some spices coming through.
A gem in the vintage that’s made with advice from oenologist Michel Rolland, the 2015 La Rose Perriere offers a Merlot dominated bouquet of ripe plums, cassis, black licorice and tobacco leaf. Possessing medium to full-bodied richness, a ripe, sexy, opulent personality, and sweet tannin, drink it anytime over the coming decade. Tasted twice.
The 2015 La Rose Perrière is superb and one of the best Lussac Saint-Émilions readers will come across. Dark, sumptuous and inviting, the 2015 exudes richness and class. Dark cherry, plum, chocolate, espresso and violets form a super-attractive mélange of aromas, flavors and textures. The blend is 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, fermented partly in 500-liter barrels. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker.
