Sweet, almost candy-store, nose. But then on the palate it is utterly seductive: creamy texture and a beautiful balance of fruit and acidity. Just right for current drinking. Really complete and appealing with the merest hint of smokiness. Builds towards a long, savoury finish. (JR)
Bright, light yellow. Peachy fruit salad, lavender and crushed stone on the vibrant nose and palate (very good choice of harvest date here!). Concentrated and sweet, with harmonious acidity giving shape to the wine. Strong mineral extract leads to a satisfyingly saline, fine-grained finish with noteworthy persistence. Tactile yet seamless wine with lovely balance and an element of power. But lay it down for a few years.
15% new oak. Expressive of this vineyard with high-toned blossomy notes. Good grip and tension with exciting nervosity. Very pure fruit. (JR)
