Reticent aromas of white pepper and stone. Then chewy, gripping and very young on the palate, with intense, ripe yellow fruit flavors refreshed and complicated by an element of youthful bitterness. Boasts excellent mid-palate richness and balance and finishes precise and long.

Quite rich and racy. Exciting! Pretty sharp-edged but should be delightful in the end. (JR)
The 2014 Meursault Blagny 1er Cru has a Puligny-like bouquet, quite strict with cold granite and fumé-like aromas that take their time to unfurl. The palate is refined on the entry with a squeeze of sour lemon. It is certainly nicely composed and declines to be “racy” in any way, preferring to gently building to a hazelnut-tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. This is a diffident, but lovely Meursault.
