Note di degustazione
Moderately saturated medium red. Tangy, slightly rustic scents of raspberry, leather and peppery herbs. A very spicy style of Marsannay, showing good cut and peppery lift to its flavors of raspberry and minerals. Finishes with firm, slightly dry tannins that call for a couple years of cellaring.

Bright medium red. Good lift to the aromas of dark cherry and raspberry. A step up in intensity and verve from the Vaudenelles, with plum and red cherry flavors complemented by saline minerality and nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Quite ripe and soft for this cuvée , finishing with easygoing tannins.
The 2014 Marsannay Les Grasses Têtes has a well-defined, pretty bouquet with raspberry and blackcurrant scents, hints of rose petal in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite strict and linear with good acidity, and a little too serious on the finish for my liking, but hopefully it will forage a little more charm by the time of bottling. A bit "bolshie" at the moment.
