Note di degustazione
Medium red. Pungent but slightly shallow aromas of raspberry and stone. Brighter and more delineated than it appeared to be from barrel a year earlier but can't match the Marsannay Les Longeroies for depth. In a leaner but nicely delineated style, showing good mineral lift to its raspberry and cranberry flavors. The firm finish displays inviting perfume.

(from the village portion of Les Veroilles): Medium red. Musky nose dominated by earthy underbrush. In a distinctly soft, even slightly dull, style, showing a faint roasted quality to the vague berry and plum flavors. This really needs an early bottling. From the estate's youngest vines, planted between 1989 and 1992.
The 2014 Chambolle Musigny les Véroilles, from vines planted in 1990 but occupying the Village Cru of the vineyard (Ghislaine Barthod hogging the Premier Cru), has a rather conservative bouquet; it is introspective at first but unfolding in the glass with light blackberry and cranberry leaf aromas. The palate is well balanced with pretty strawberry and Morello notes on the entry. There is moderate complexity locked in and it may be conservative in the context of Chambolle, yet there is plenty of freshness on the finish.
