Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2017-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016

The 2014 Chablis 1Er Cru Montmains was impressive from vat last year. Now in bottle, it delivers an attractive brine-tinged bouquet with fine mineralité tucked in underneath. The palate is well balanced with a slightly grassiness on the entry, finely balanced with a crisp citrus peel and oyster shell finish. All it might lack is just a little persistence on the aftertaste, although that should develop with time in bottle.

Punteggio 91-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Aug 2015

Pale, green-tinged yellow. Ripe, expressive aromas of green apple, fresh apricot, menthol and white pepper. Densely packed and juicy, conveying lovely ripeness from a cool terroir , with excellent inner-mouth tension and precision. Finishes with noteworthy cut and length. In a distinctly cool style but not green.

Punteggio 91+/100 · Da bere 2019-2026, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Pale lemon-green. Smells much more austere than the 2015. Suave and silky but very backward on the palate, conveying terrific limey lift to the highly concentrated flavors of dusty stone, menthol and metallic minerality. In a distinctly cool style and quite reduced today, this wine will need a few years in the bottle, or extended aeration, to show more precision and complexity. Tangy and brisk on the aftertaste.
