Musky, reticent aromas of stone fruits, smoke and white pepper. Fat, rich, sweet and fine-grained, with the slightly musky quality carrying through on the palate. Creamy in the middle but quite firm on the back end.

(following hydric stress during the summer, there was very little juice left in these grapes, noted Boillot): Bright medium yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of apricot, peach and menthol. Thicker than the Saint-Aubin but cooler on the palate than on the nose, offering very dry flavors of citrus fruits and fresh hay. Still tight on the back end. This will probably need a couple years of cellaring upon its release.
