Note di degustazione
The 2013 Marsannay Les Longeroies has quite a powerful nose oddly reminiscent of a light Médoc! The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, firm but fresh with a touch of hardness on the finish. It loosens up nicely in the glass, though it remains a couple of steps behind this vintage's Gevrey Fonteny.

Dark red with ruby highlights. Very dark aromas and flavors of blackberry, menthol and licorice, along with a stony nuance. Fuller, sweeter and more serious than the Grasses Têtes, showing more mid-palate support for its riper tannins. This has more structure for aging.
The 2013 Marsannay Les Longeroies marries elements of the aromatics found in the Vaudanelles with the greater depth and overall structure of the Grasses Têtes. Dried herbs, tobacco, mint and licorice are all given an added kick of brightness from the mineral-inflected notes that are woven throughout.
