San Luigi's 2003 Fidenzio (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot) presents generous notes of succulent ripe cherries, tobacco, herbs and sweet toasted oak with an irresistibly plump texture. It offers superb concentration on the palate, with terrific balance plenty of style. A few years of bottle age should help soften the tannins, but this is one of the vintage's standouts and it is sure to deliver much pleasure over the coming years.
