Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2019-2025, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2015

Full straw-yellow. Riper and less citrussy than the Meix Chavaux, offering scents of apricot, peach, hazelnut and vanillin oak. Dense, supple and nicely concentrated; rich and powerful but not rustic, with lively acidity and a saline impression of dry extract energizing the middle palate. Today I prefer this to the 2013 version.

The 2013 Meursault Luchets has a wonderful chalky, limestone-scented bouquet that is very detailed and poised, perhaps more "conservative" than the Meix Chavaux but with laser-like precision. The palate is fresh and crisp with fine tension, quite saline in the mouth, gently building toward a very intense, almost Puligny-like finish. It does not quite have the length of the Meux Chavaux but there is real presence in the mouth.

He has more than 1 ha; his biggest holding. Only four owners here. The merest, merest hint of reduction but also creaminess. Gorgeous balance between the freshness and acidity and the weight of fruit. So pure! Such accessibility you could almost enjoy it already. (JR)

Musky aromas of citrus and stone fruits complicated by oak notes of char and vanilla. Ripe yellow fruit flavors are currently hardened by strong acidity, which masks the wine's personality today. There's good texture and sweetness here but the persistent finish also shows a youthful dry edge.
