Good medium red. Redcurrant, red licorice, peppery herbs and a whiff of leathery rusticity on the nose. Suave, fine-grained and fairly sweet, conveying good lift to the flavors of small acidulated red berries, red plum and wild herbs. Finishes with dusty, building tannins and good lift. "We couldn't have imagined a wine like this when we saw the grapes at harvest-time," noted owner Edouard Labruyère.

Bright red-ruby color. Deep black cherry perfume. Juicy and fresh on the palate, with good intensity and cut to the flavors of dark cherry, leather and wild herbs. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lingering black fruits. A rather suave Beaune wine considering that production here was cut by 70% due to hail.
