Vines planted in 1970 and 1976. Mid ruby. Earthy, fragile nose. Real life and energy here! Very flattering sweet fruit on entry with quite a firm grip on the finish. Cool and confident. Lots of interest is buried in this but there is no shortage of (ripe) tannin. Very positive and sure of a long development. (JR)
