Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2017-2023, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2015

Precise aromas and flavors of yellow fruits, clove and ginger accented by a peppery quality. Very smooth and open, conveying lovely sweetness and breadth but not the same mineral energy as the young 2014. This pliant wine finishes with sneaky length. Carrying about 13.2% alcohol after chaptalization.

Again that salty aroma but the nose is not particularly expressive. Some creamy sweetness of oak on the palate to balance the very direct but delicate citrus fruit. There's just not enough depth of fruit here, though the acidity has been well managed. (JH)

The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières has an attractive austerity on the nose, well defined, and actually capturing the essence of Perrières better than some of the more famous producers. The palate is crisp and precise with a keen line of acidity, well-integrated oak and a touch of grilled walnut and salinity toward the long finish. Bravo! This is very well-executed Perrières.

Discreet nose hints at white flowers, rose petal and white pepper, with citrus peel in the deep background. Fine-grained and aromatic in the mouth, offering an intriguing blend of sweet and peppery elements and wet-stone minerality. Finishes classically dry and long, with soil-driven smoky, saline minerality.
