The 2008 Gattinara Riserva brings together the best elements of the house style. Pliant and expressive on the palate, the Riserva has more than enough depth to develop nicely for a number of years. Sweet tobacco, licorice, savory herbs and menthol all add layers of nuance to the dark red and black fruit. This is a solid showing from the Travaglini family.
