Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2016-2029, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2015

The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru les Blanchots is one of Drouin's smallest offerings, no more than three barrels per vintage and is matured entirely in stainless tank with no oak contact. It has a reserved, mineral, chalky bouquet with touches of oyster developing behind. The palate is medium-bodied with citrus peel, white peach and a touch of spice on the entry. It builds in confident fashion, maintaining fine acidity and delivering plenty of spice toward the sustained finish. It's a shame there is so little of this!

Punteggio 91-94/100 · Da bere 2016, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2014

The 2013 Chablis Blanchots wraps around the palate with striking depth, nuance and pure class. Graphite and mineral notes underpin this textured, delicate Chablis long on class and personality. Bright saline notes inform the striking, silky finish. In 2013, the Blanchots is all about subtlety.

Pale yellow-green. Peppery, reduced nose shows a strong flinty, chalky minerality and a lightly vegetal element. Juicy and pliant in the mouth, but showing less dimension and buffering sweetness than the Montee de Tonnerre. Bitter lemon pith and grapefruit zest flavors lead to a flinty, slightly dry-edged finish. Will this put on weight in bottle?
