The 2012 Chianti Classico is made of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and a tiny point of Syrah. The vintage saw hot and dry conditions in July followed by cold and rainy conditions before harvest. As a result, this wine offers good freshness and mature tannins that developed during the heat spell. The fruit is balanced and bright with cherry followed by blackberry and light spice.
