Note di degustazione
A cool, pure and restrained nose only grudgingly reveals its layered combination of citrus, floral, lemon zest and iodine-inflected aromas. There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension to the impressively intense and markedly saline flavors that deliver excellent persistence on the mouth coating finish. This should drink well early as there is plenty of extract though reward extended cellaring as well. Tasted: Oct 15, 2013. Drink: 2018+

This wine was tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chablis 1Er Cru Vaillons from Dauvissat-Camus aka Vincent Dauvissat, did not show as well as previous bottles because of the sulfur, which tends to trip you up - especially in blind tastings. What comes across as a rather dull sample vis-a-vis its peers, is simply a Chablis that constantly demands extended aeration, preferably a dozen years in the cellar! I'll refrain from marking this for now. Oct 2015, www.robertparker.com

Domaine Rene & Vincent Dauvissat is one of the finest Chablis estates, on a par with Domaine Raveneau as the top two wine addresses in the region. The domaine has a long history of producing wines of great complexity, consistency and fantastic ageing capability.
