2001 Batard Montrachet

Again the nose is still undeveloped but there is massive weight on the palate of this wine and really attractive opulence too. A hint of honey and really challenging, ambitious breadth of flavour. Tasted with the wine above, an instructive lesson in terroir effects. (JR)
