(bottled in late April): Pale bright yellow. Deeply pitched, rather subdued aromas and flavors of stone fruits and clove. Round, ripe and dry but in a less structured style than the Puligny villages, without quite that wine's lift or grip. Still, this has just enough minerality on the back end to keep the wine firm and shapely.
Next to Perrières, and Eric Remy feels each year brings more and more minerality. Smoky reduced and quite broad on the palate with lots to chew on and even a little honeyed character. Relatively friendly. Broad and earlier maturing than some, I would guess. (JR)
