Note di degustazione
This estate has produced a good, impressively colored, medium-bodied 1993 with the vintage's tell-tale, firm, tannic structure, as well as enough fruit and fat for balance. The wine reveals fine ripeness, extraction, and purity, along with the black fruit character Chasse-Spleen routinely achieves. It should drink well between 1998-2010.

Plenty of fruit in this one. Medium to full body, berry and cherry flavors, medium to full tannins and long finish. Better in 1998. 2,330 cases made.-James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1996

If there’s one Moulis estate you know, it is likely Chasse-Spleen, today owned by the Foubet family. Vines have been planted here since the 16th century, and today it has an impressive 100 hectares to its name.
