Citrus skin, oatmeal and hazelnut on the nose. Sweet, fat and concentrated, with a peachy flavor verging on exotic. Wonderfully creamy wine, kept firm by sound acidity.

Displaying scents of creamy pears and spices, the excellent 2003 Meursault Genevrieres (white) is broad, suave, and fresh. Spices, sea salt, and apples are found in this lengthy, harmonious wine’s personality. It is light to medium-bodied and silky-textured. Anticipated maturity: now-2011. Citrus peel and lime blossom on the nose. Sappy, superripe and generous in the mouth, but with terrific lemony grip. Wonderfully vibrant Genevrieres, especially in the context of the vintage. Concentrated, chewy wine with excellent acidity and cut. Boillot picked these domain vines three days earlier than his negociant Genevrieres was harvested, and this year there's a noticeable gain in vivacity from the earlier picking.
