Good deep red. Aromatic nose of cherry, raspberry, minerals and spices. Sappy, juicy and sweet, with noteworthy intensity and inner-mouth perfume to the red fruit and spice flavors. Bright acidity frames and carries the cherry-dominated finish.

Cask sample. Very smoky on the nose with a ceday freshness underneath. Rounded gentle fruit. Dry, cool fresh finish. Delicately aromatic mid palate. Gentle but beautifully balanced. (JH)
