Light to medium-bodied and expressive, this wine displays flavors reminiscent of blackberries, brambleberries, and metal shavings. Silky-textured in the attack and mid-palate, it reveals a long finish with some unresolved tannin. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.

Very dark purple. Some liqueur and damp fur quality on the nose, but the fruit is surprisingly fresh on the palate. Quite winning. Good package. Slightly dry, but honest and good. (JR)
