Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2007-2011, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2009

Low key nose. Very round and fat and charming, though without much complexity or real flavour. Lovely texture. Very flattering. But drink up. The acidity is hard to find! Apparently it is much less showy than at bottling. He thinks it may last longer than I do. He points out that the 1991 had a similar profile but we enjoyed it in Nov 2009! (JR)

Rich, buttered toast, earth, mushroom, cream and citrus with a deft touch of orange peel, ginger and acerbic smoke character. Big length, big body.  (RH)

Punteggio 90-93/100 · Da bere 2006-2014, Pierre Rovani, Apr 2005

Gorgeous aromatics of rich pears and white peaches emanate from the glass of the 2003 Corton-Charlemagne (white). A wine of impressive breadth and harmony, its suave personality spreads out over the palate releasing waves of satin-textured white fruits, slate, and fresh herbs. Lush, supple, and inviting, this offering’s long finish displays a slight brightness of acid (natural), rendering it surprisingly light on its feet. One of the top 2003 white Burgundies, it should be at its best between 2006 and 2014. Bravo! Importer: Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. (212) 419-1400
