This has the deepest gold of all. Honey and flowers initially on the nose. This has a perfect full-on attack, which gets to every last little tastebud. Wonderfully fulfilling. Lots of savour and honey. The most distinctive wine of all yet it still has a lot of acid. The taste is big and long and this is a great lively white burgundy. Very exciting indeed. A terrific, indisputable thoroughbred. (JR)
Last Tasted 8/92 When first released, this was one of the most flamboyant Corton-Charlemagnes of the vintage. It has now taken on more definition and structure, and may disprove my theory about the limited aging potential of Coche-Dury's wines. The wine still boasts a spectacular, stony, mineral-scented nose intermingled with aromas of over-ripe oranges and apples. Full-bodied, with admirable concentration, crisp acidity, and far more definition and focus than it initially exhibited, this large-scaled, yet perfectly balanced wine should continue to drink well for another 4-6 years.

Domaine Jean-François Coche-Dury is one of the most sought-after names in Burgundy, famed for producing some of the most expensive white wines in the world. The demand for these fiercely collected wines far outstrips supply.
