Punteggio 15.5/20 · Da bere 2014-2017, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2013

100% Pinot Noir from high altitude slopes of limestone and clay over a marly subsoil. The grapes come both from the domaine and from long term grower contracts, working in collaboration with Bouchard Père et Fils. Fermentation lasted 8 – 15 days, followed by maturation in French oak barrels for 8 – 14 months and further bottle age in the cellars of the Bastion of the ancient Château du Beaune. Winemaker Philippe Prost. TA 5.69 g/l, pH 3.39, RS 1.2 g/l. DWWA 2012 Bronze Medal. Light crimson. Quite earthy/mulchy on the nose and more austere than the Besson Givry from the same retailer for £1 less. (JR)

Punteggio 87/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

A pungently earthy nose of red currant, plum and a hint of the sauvage introduces seductively textured and lush flavors that possess just enough structure on the mildly rustic finish to suggest that this should benefit from 2 to 3 years of cellar time first. Tasted: Apr 15, 2013. Drink: 2015+
