Note di degustazione
(65% new French and 33% new American oak, with rest aged in 1-year old-French barrels): Vivid purple. Heady, exotically perfumed aromas of black and blue fruits, incense, dark chocolate and potpourri, with a smoky overtone. Cherry-vanilla and mocha flavors show an alluringly sweet character and are braced by juicy, harmonious acidity. Dusty tannins come on late and give shape to a very long, penetrating and gently oak-spiced finish. I'd bet on the wine being a slow ager.

TA 7.0 g/l, pH 3.64. 14 months in 96% new oak (66% French). Smoky, rich oak scent. Really fine, lacy tannins. Milk chocolate. Luscious black fruit. Seamless texture – really very impressive. Long, insistent finish. (RH)
The 2010 Magill Estate Shiraz is deep garnet-purple in color and shows ripe cassis, blackberry and plum preserve aromas highlighted by lifted notes of roses, chocolate box and a touch of cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it is packed with rich, concentrated and refined flavors and framed with medium-firm, grainy tannins through the long finish. It should go on and on for a long time. Drink it from 2014 to 2026+. Importer: Treasury Wine Estates, Napa, CA
