Note di degustazione
This wine typifies the problem with many 1975s. The color is revealing noticeable rust/orange. The aromatics offer plenty of cedar and spice, with an underlying vegetal, earthy, dusty character. While the flavors are full-bodied and moderately concentrated, they are dominated by harsh tannin, making the wine taste compact. The wine gives the impression of being close to full maturity. I suspect further aging will result in more fruit loss, something this wine cannot afford. Drink it up.

Informazioni sul produttore

In 1978 the Borie family took over Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Xavier Borie has been making exceptional wines here ever since. With 58 hectares of vines around the château, this is a wine with real Pauillac style.
