Palish-medium red. Vague aromas of red cherry, raspberry and menthol. Juicy, leanish and tangy, with moderately ripe raspberry, mint and spice flavors. Rather elegantly styled wine, but a bit minty and herbal, with an edge of acidity on the back.

Good red. Raspberry, cherry, minerals, leather and mint on the nose. Sweet and pliant, with enticing flavors of dark berries and minerals. Finishes with dusty, ripe tannins and very good length. Solid, honest Volnay.
