2005 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre

Highly nuanced nose combines white peach, flowers, hazelnut, spices, minerals and a steely nuance. Sweet, supple and spicy, with a distinctly creamy texture to the citrus and hay flavors. Relatively closed today and quite light on its feet, but this is rich and broad for a young wine from this superb premier cru. This, too, needs bottle aging.
