2005 Latricieres Chambertin

Full red. Musky aromas of briary dark fruits, cherry skin, graphite and chocolatey oak; less fruity than the Charmes. Sappy, rich and deep, with a chewy impression of extract to the cherry and mineral flavors. This is fruitier in the mouth than the nose suggests-and with more energy too. Despite its finishing lift, this is still youthfully imploded but its firmly tannic, edge-free finish suggests it will reward extended aging.
