Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2018-2021, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018

Defying any predictions of this white Burgundy vintage's imminent demise, the 2006 Meursault Villages from Arnaud Ente is drinking very well, offering up an attractive bouquet of buttered yellow orchard fruits, honeycomb and fresh pastry. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, textural and expansive, with succulent balancing acids and lovely cohesion and delineation through the long finish. Now's a great moment to start pulling corks.

Subdued, pure aromas of citrus fruits and flowers. Supple, round and pure, with sweet stone fruit flavors that avoid coming off as exotic. Full, concentrated village wine with moderate complexity and good grip. (I found the 2006 Bourgogne Blanc to be pure but almost exotically ripe for a wine from Ente; the atypical sweetness of the 2006 vintage appears to have favored his Aligote.)

CS Quite muted on the nose – very sleek – certainly not like the big bold buttery Meursaults of legend. A little sweet and lots of jujube fruit. Quite tight on the finish at the moment, with some alcohol. (JR)

(70% Ormeau and 30% Casse-Tete): Ripe, sweet, fine aromas of stone fruits. Supple and rich but fresh, with orchard fruits dominating. Fine-grained texture like peach flesh, with fresh acidity and a mentholated character giving the wine a youthful aspect. Finishes with subtle persistence.
