The 2007 Luce della Vite is an attractive, mid-weight offering bursting with dark red fruit, flowers and spices. Some rough edges remain, but they should soften as the tannins melt away in the bottle. This is a firmer, fresher wine than La Vite Lucente, and offers plenty of drive and focus. Licorice, tar and smoke linger on the finish.
