Note di degustazione
The 2012 Chablis Tete d'Or is a gorgeous wine built on pure texture. Almonds, crushed flowers and white orchard fruit all meld together nicely. The round, layered finish adds to the wine's immediacy and considerable appeal.

(20% vinified and aged in barrels; bottled three months later than the regular village wine): Aromas of mandarin orange, lime, menthol and crushed stone, with a touch of sweetness from the oak. Broad and spicy on the palate, showing sound lemony acidity and an enticing touch of sweetness but coming across as less harmonious than the regular village offering. Perhaps a bit hardened by the oak today. Give this a year or two in the cellar before pulling the cork.
Despite the minuscule pouring and the slight whiff of sulphur, this is aromatic and complex – stony and lightly floral at the same time. Very crisp but enough fruit to balance. Tight, bright, moderate length. (JH)
