Note di degustazione
Slightly developed red. Sweet and, for the first time at this tasting, I smell oak! What a sign of the times that I have not been aware of oak until now! Very sour. (JR)

Medium red. Subdued aromas of currant, blackberry, cured tobacco and violet. Supple and laid-back, with an easygoing texture and a restrained sweetness to its dark fruit flavors. Ripe acidity gives the wine good vinosity. In a rather round style, finishing with lingering sweet fruit and notes of licorice and pepper.
Deep, medium concentrated ruby with broad rim showing the beginning of orange. Earthy and minerally with dark fruit notes. Supple palate with lifted fruit and hints of fruitcake. Compact and quite closed on the finish, but has the structure for ageing. (WS)
