Note di degustazione
Deep red with ruby tones. Slightly roasted aromas and flavors of plum, blackberry and smoked meat lifted by a floral element. Sweet, plump and round; a nicely concentrated midweight Brunello with early appeal. Finishes with good breadth and substantial, slightly unrefined tannins. (A second sample, which I scored 87, was higher-toned and a bit more rustic and advanced.)

The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino reveals good depth in its fruit, but the hard, aggressive tannins and unclean aromatics make this a compact, unyielding wine that expresses little of the pedigree of the vintage.

Deep youthful ruby. Sweet fruit and Oxo-cube notes. Slight VA? Palate much more genuine and composed. With good acidity level and powdery tannin. Fragrant finish. (WS)
