2007 Brunello di Montalcino

Medium red. Reticent aromas of medicinal red cherry, redcurrant, dried flowers and mint. Broad, fresh and laid-back, with lovely energy for the vintage. Spicy red berry, mint and licorice flavors are quite dry in a positive way. Not particularly open today but the broad finish shows a light touch and a fine dusting of tannins. I'd give this at least a few years before pulling the cork. (ST) 92+
