1990 Brunello di Montalcino

This is the first wine (an outstanding one at that) I have tasted from this producer. It exhibits a forward, sweet, herb, toast, smoky, and ripe cherry-scented nose, medium to full-bodied, supple, fat flavors with good glycerin, and a highly-extracted personality. Pure and well-balanced, with gorgeous layers of sweet, jammy fruit and noticeable yet ripe tannin, this is about as sumptuous as Brunello di Montalcino gets.
