Note di degustazione
The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is made from vineyards in both the northern and southern parts of Montalcino; roughly 65% and 35% respectively. It is a fresh, fruity offering with plenty of refinement in its berries, flowers and spices, showing no hard edges and outstanding overall balance. High toned, floral notes give the wine a nice sense of lift on the finish. This pretty, delicate Brunello is best enjoyed young, while the attractive, up-front fruit remains vibrant.

Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020. This is a very convincing set of new releases from Altesino; only the 2008 Rosso is disappointing. A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Montvale, NJ; tel.
