2009 Corton Bressandes

Bright red-ruby. Black fruits, licorice and violet on the vibrant nose. Dense, juicy and fine-grained, with sweet dark fruit and licorice flavors complicated by savory, smoky nuances. Finishes with substantial but very fine tannins and excellent subtle persistence. Deceptively easygoing in the style of the vintage, but this will reward patience.
