1994 Langhe Arborina

The 1994 Langhe Arborina is quite a bit more immediate and rich than the Barolo. Orange peel, mint, cinnamon and dried flowers add shades of nuance. The 1994 loses just a touch of persistence through the mid-palate and finish, but it is nevertheless striking, especially within the context of the vintage. It also has more than enough intensity to drink well for another handful of years. It does look like the 1994 was too delicate to handle all the oak.
