Note di degustazione
Offering up aromas of buttery pasty, spiced peaches, saffron and marmalade, along with some hints of dried fruits indicative of its evolution, Lafon's 1994 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and open-knit, with a rich, gourmand profile and a broad, expansive and slightly diffuse finish. It's time to drink up, but this poster boy for the Meursault of the 1990s is still drinking well.

Good pale color for the vintage. More exotic, expressive aromas of roasted grain, vanilla, lemon and crème brûlee Sweet, shapely and intensely flavored; doesn't have quite the verve of either the '95 or '96 but this is fresh for the year. Round, deep and very long. Entirely from old vines. Already approachable.
