Note di degustazione
A trace of wood spice frames ultra rich and extremely ripe aromas that are very fruit-forward followed by juicy, even succulent, borderline fat flavors that manage to maintain incredible focus and this just oozes minerality on the superbly long finish. It's fascinating to see a wine that is this ripe deliver such detail and minerality, all wrapped in solid acidity. A flat out terrific effort that delivers even bigger and more powerful flavors than the Vaulorent if not necessarily more detail and finesse.

Very pale, green-tinged color. Steely aromas of powdered stone, lime blossom and petrol. Then suave and penetrating, with terrific citricity and cut. And yet this dense, rather powerful wine is not at all hard. The flavors of lime and talc coat the entire palate. Offers great intensity and palate presence without any undue weight. Superb.
Rich aromas of linden can be found in the nose of the 2002 Chablis Vaudesir (domaine). Medium-bodied and soft, it coats the taster’s palate with sweet pears and spices. It has admirable purity, depth, and lushness as well as a long, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 8-10 years. While Bernard Hervet, who oversees both Bouchard and William Fevre, prefers the 2000 vintage in Chablis “for its minerality and austerity,” your author believes 2002 is the finest set of wines to have been produced at this estate/negociant firm in many years. Green fruits and tension and great mineral depths. Still slightly astringent. (JR)
