Note di degustazione
Very deep crimson. Quite marked French oak plus extremely modern opulence on the nose. Very well handled in the winery. Real terroir character on the palate with some medicinal notes – delightfully savoury – not the over-sweet flab of some. Bravo in general with a slight cautionary note about all that French oak. (JR)

This unfiltered blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, and Carignan, aged for 14 months in new French oak, and bottled unfiltered, boasts a deep purple color along with a pure bouquet of raspberries, blueberries, wet stones, and toasty, subtle vanillin. Medium-bodied with outstanding concentration, impressive elegance, and a nice texture, this tight but promising 2001 should hit its prime in 2-4 years, and last for 12-15. Good deep red-ruby. Deeper, more complex nose combines red berry liqueur, tobacco, smoke, minerals, leather and wild herbs. Round and pliant but also fresh and precise, with excellent vibrancy and grip. Captivating, exotic hints of blood orange, nectarine and orange peel. Very individual and not at all overdone. Elegantly styled for Priorat wine, finishing with very suave tannins and impressive subtle persistence.
