The soft, opulently-styled 1998 Les Terrasses offers a deep dense ruby color as well as abundant quantities of blackberry and cherry fruit, subtle wood, a lush, juicy texture, and low acidity. Bright red-ruby. Dried fruits, iron, smoke and roasted herbs on the nose. Dry-edged flavors of roasted berries and coffee; grew sweeter with air but finishes with rather drying tannins. Substantial wine, but no longer the value it once was.
