Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2020-2028, Neal Martin, Jun 2020

The 2010 Meursault Tête de Murgers has a limpid straw hue. Crisp and almost Chablis-like on the nose, it offers enticing scents of lanolin and dried grass clippings, and later crushed limestone. The palate has retained excellent balance and tension, and a judicious twist of bitter lemon keeps this Meursault on edge. Frankly equivalent to a Premier Cru in terms of overall quality. This has aged wonderfully. Tasted at Hatched restaurant in London.

Subtly complex aromas of orange peel, brown sugar, hazelnut and cinnamon. In a very spicy style but youthfully imploded, even a tad bitter today. Bracing Meursault with excellent intensity and cut but extremely tight today. Finishes aromatic and long. Hold this.

Mineral and cool and yet with a hint of a floral nose. Big and beefy and quite alcoholic. Not the most refined 2010 Meursault. (JR)

Bright yellow. Perfumed aromas of orange creamsicle, pine nuts and spices. Tighter and less sweet on entry than the nose would suggest, then subtle, precise and complex in the mid-palate, with excellent sappy concentration to the peach and hazelnut flavors complicated by cinnamon and black pepper. The long, rising finish gives an impression of strong powdery extract. Wonderfully rich wine in the making, with the acidity to buffer its 13.9% alcohol. A real essence of Meursault.
