Gorgeous menthol, darker currants, cassis, and flower notes define the 2010 Château La Fleur Morange, which is full-bodied and concentrated on the palate. With integrated acidity and fine tannins, this textured, fresh, and lively 2010 will evolve for another 10-15 years. Drink 2025-2040.

Very bright crimson – but look at that alcohol! Intensely concentrated nose and enormous tension on the palate. This is a baby. But one that wants to win Wimbledon. Kerpow! At the moment it has so much of everything – including acidity as well as tannin – that it's a little painful to drink now. But I feel sure it's going to make a great bottle some day. I can see parallels with Pavie again (see my note on the 2005 vintage tasted blind en primeur). (JR)
Fabulous aromas of berries, including blackberries, plus smoke and spices. Hazelnuts, too. Full body with a silky, tannic texture and a tangy, savory aftertaste. Lots of orange peel and berry character. Fresh and lively. Very ferrous and chocolatey. This would be even better after 2016, but it’s great now. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
