Note di degustazione
Classic orange blossom and ripe apricot nose. The palate has a superb balance of stone fruit, some almon notes and a lovely rounded mouth feel. The acidity both balances the sweetness and adds to the clean length, very good.

The 2010 Doisy-Védrines has a slight adhesive scent on the nose that obscures the fruit profile. Despite rigorous aeration it does dissipate. The palate is clean and pure on the entry. This has a fine bead of acidity with moderate depth, quite harmonious from start to finish with a twist of orange rind towards the finish. It’s just the nose that needs to address its issues. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.
Medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Doisy-Vedrines comes galloping out of the glass with nicely mature baked pineapple, dried mango peel and apricot preserves scents plus touches of manuka honey, burnt sugar and candle wax. Full-bodied, decadently sweet and somewhat monolithic in the mouth, it has soft acidity and a honey-drizzled finish.
Tasted blind. Spice and cedary on the nose. Lots of bitter orange. Rich, creamy and generous and yet lovely freshness. Power but not weight. Good length. (JH)
