Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2016-2030, Jancis Robinson MW, Mar 2018

Tasted blind. Hint of mousiness. Cough sweets – lemon syrup. A bit tight. Just a bit simple. (JR)

Tasted at the château, the 2008 Château Doisy-Védrines does not have the same fruit intensity as the previous two vintages on the nose and comes across more resinous and understated. The palate is crisp and vibrant on the entry and goes some way in compensating for the aromatics. The acidity is very well judged and there is impressive tension on the finish: orange sorbet and quince fanning out in assured fashion. Enjoy this over the next 15 to 20 years.

Very sticky lime syrup. Not the most noble but I suppose it does taste of Sauternes… (JR)

Punteggio 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2010

Bright, pale gold. Tight, high-pitched aromas and flavors of peach nectar, orange oil, quince and honey. Moderately dense and nicely silky, with sexy oak spices contributing to the wine's impression of inner-mouth perfume. Finishes chewy, honeyed and tactile, with very good energy and lingering spiciness. Offers a nice blend of thickness of texture and racy acidity.
